  • Annotation Din istoria turcilor dobrogeni (original title). The Turks of Dobrudja are the descendants of the Turkish people that had settled in that province. The Turkish sultans colonized the province with Turkish elements coming both from Asia Minor and from the North of the Black Sea, which is from the Crimeea and Bugeac. The paper presents the evolution of the Turkish population from an ethnic, social, economic, cultural point of view. The relationship of the Dobrudjan Turks with the Romanian state authorities after 1878 is also presented, when Dobrudja is incorporated into the Romanian state. It is aimed at researchers, students and the general public.
