The book presents the situation of the Mongols on the Black Sea in the 13th and 14th centuries. The Cinghizhans' contribution to the transformation of the Pontic Basin into a hub for Eurasian trade is highlighted. The work presents data provided by sources on the interests and manifestations of the two Cinghizhans' states (Golden Horde and Ilhanat) in the Black Sea basin, as well as implications of their Pontic policy in terms of general history in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
